7 | The FCC (Four Counties Classic) will continue to meet on the first and third Saturdays of every month in 2025:The FCC (Four Counties Classic) is a free gathering for all pre-1990 classic cars. The gatherings take place from 9am to noon on the first and third Saturdays of every month throughout the year at The Bletchingley Arms, 2 High St, Bletchingley, Surrey RH1 4PE For those who need sustenance, The Bletchingley Arms serves breakfast between 9.30am and 10.30am. The event is a static gathering in the midst of some wonderful driving roads though the scenic North Downs. When the weather was kind, prior to the lock-downs we often had as many as 130 cars in attendance. One reason for the success of the gathering is its geographical location close to the borders between four counties. We have regular members who come from Surrey, Greater London, Kent and Sussex. There are probably more classic cars in these four counties than anywhere else in the country (and therefore the world). |

21 | The Falcon Classic Car TourThis is a non-competitive scenic tour for classic cars, sports cars, and other interesting vehicles. It is part of the HRCR Scenic Tour series of events. Our touring participants will be offered a drive of approximately 115 miles around South Northamptonshire and North Bedfordshire. We will start our day with a welcoming 'bacon bap and cuppa' taken at the Barn Café Restaurant, in the Old Dairy Farm Craft Centre, Upper Stowe (between Towcester and Weedon). After a meandering drive through South Northants into Bedfordshire, morning coffee will be taken at Milton Ernest Garden Centre. After coffee we will make our way in a loop north through the countryside, past Raunds, to our next refreshment halt at the Aviator Hotel at Sywell Aerodrome. Continuing on; we will wend our way to our tour finish, which will be at the Whilton Locks Garden Village. A dedicated hard-surfaced parking area will be set aside to display the cars whilst tour participants enjoy a welcome pre-plated buffet at the end of their day. Crofton Beam Engines In SteamThe world's oldest fully operational pumping station is in steam See our 1812 Boulton & Watt and 1846 Harvey Beam Engines doing their original job back pumping the Kennet & Avon Canal Open from 10.30 a.m. Last admissions 4 p.m. Light refreshments available See our website for further details including specific events on the day https://www.croftonbeam engines Crofton Pumping Station Crofton Nr. Marlborough Wiltshire SN8 3DW We are very much interested in bringing classic car and motorcycle groups to Crofton for there's a lot of 'cross pollination' interest within the heritage movement. Amongst our volunteers there's a Ford Galaxy and a Stanley steam car to be found to name but two. As for space, that's not a problem as the attached show and whilst the main hardstanding car park is not that large the field car park is vast |
